Socialist Dictators: In Love with Obama...
Does anyone find it odd that so many evil dictators are head-over-heels in love with President Obama? Take Cuba's Fidel Castro, for instance. From the AP, back in April..
Rep. Laura Richardson, California Democrat, who also met Fidel Castro with Rep. Bobby L. Rush, Illinois Democrat, said he "looked directly into our eyes" and asked how Cuba could help Mr. Obama in his efforts to change the course of U.S. foreign policy. She said she had the impression that Fidel Castro, 82, wants to see changes in U.S.-Cuba relations in his lifetime.
How heartwarming. A hard-core, Communist dictator wishes to be of aide to Comrade Obama.
And how can we forget about Barry's BFF, Hugo Chavez?! From the New York Post, also in April... when left-wing wacko Chavez gave Obama his personal stamp of approval, along with one of his favorite reads -- a detailed look at Latin American politics through 500 years of what it says was US exploitation. Chavez, a strident critic of George W. Bush's administration, said his meeting with Obama at the Summit of the Americas in Trinidad and Tobago was "extraordinary."
"I feel great optimism and the best of good will to advance. We have started off on the right foot," Chavez said in a statement. He said it was time for "a true start of a new history, for there to be balance, that there's an end to the mechanisms of domination."
Venezuela's socialist strongman was so smitten with Obama, he took to the TV airwaves to tell his countrymen he didn't "have the slightest doubt" relations would improve with Washington under Bush's successor. Obama played coy. He politely thanked Chavez for his gift -- a Spanish-language edition of Eduardo Galeano's "Open Veins of Latin America" -- and later joked: "I thought it was one of Chavez's books. I was going to give him one of mine."
Chavez showed the love on his government website, rushing to post a photo of Obama with his hand on Chavez's shoulder.
After their initial meeting Friday, the two amigos saw each other out again Saturday morning for another quick handshake. Later in the day, during a group photo with other summiteers, Obama leaned behind the other leaders and reached out to Chavez again, this time calling over a translator so the two could share a brief chat.
Controversial Venezuelan President and de facto dictator Hugo Chavez, a close ally of Cuba, shook Obama's hand and told him twice, "I want to be your friend."
FIRST he BOWS to Saudi King Abdullah, then he becomes everything but blood buddies with a brutal Latin American dictator.
There was also the latest get-together at the United Nations. The tyrants were just dying to become President Obama's chum... Especially the bloodthirsty would be dictator of Iran. From the London Telegraph...
Mr. Ahmadinejad called for a new approach to relations during his speech: "Mr Obama is not the first president here who believes Iran is a threat, but historically, whoever made friends with Iran saw a lot of opportunities."
The Obama lovefest didn't end there. Libya's Muammar Qaddafi doesn't only want him to be president forever, he considers the president his son.
Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi, declaring that "we'd be content and happy if Obama can stay president forever," launched into a rambling assault against the United Nations Security Council on Wednesday, at one point complaining to world leaders gathered to hear him speak that he was tired and jet lagged.
Referencing Obama as "my son," Qaddafi said: "We are happy that a young African Kenyan was voted for and made president. Obama is a glimpse in the dark for the next four years, but I'm afraid we may go back to square one.
"Can the U.S. guarantee after Obama that they'll be a government? We're happy and content if he can stay forever."
Meanwhile, socialists just love the global warming movement. This movement gives communist and socialist governments an excuse to control everyone. So, shouldn't it be a negative sign when the unmerciful Fidel Castro is singing our president's praises over his move to laden our nation with the likes of Cap-and-Tax?
Barack Obama's call for action on climate change and his admission that rich nations have a particular responsibility to lead has received strong praise from an unusual source - U.S. nemesis Fidel Castro.
The former Cuban leader on Wednesday called the American president's speech at the United Nations "brave" and said no other American head of state would have had the courage to make similar remarks.
"Raul Castro has said he is open to meeting face-to-face with the U.S. leader on neutral ground, and that all subjects could be on the table, and Fidel has praised Obama as a smart and sincere man."
"That is quite a difference from Cuba's attitude toward former President George W. Bush, who was depicted on Havana billboards as a vampire.
This picture is all wrong... It's just a little scary.
