Barack Obama's Central American Quagmire...

While the Barack Obama administration unwittingly joins Venezuelan strongman, Hugo Chavez, in condemning the so-called coup d'etat in Honduras, it is becoming more and more apparent that President Obama has been duped into a no-win situation.

Believe it or not, but Barack Obama is now siding with Hugo Chavez and his ALBA radical leftists, who twist and distort democratic values to fit their personal ideological agenda and their self interests, while at the same time the U.S. has joined the lynch mob condemning a democratic country that has acted legally and within its rights to dispose of a leftist ALBA president who potted to modify the Honduran Constitution to enable his illegal reelection.

It is common wisdom that at times it is better to be right than politically correct, and President Obama seems to have shot himself in the foot with his immediate and instinctive reaction and condemnation of the so-called Honduran military coup. Now there is political blood the water as Obama realizes that he is caught in the steel grips of a no win situation.

To further aggravate matters, Venezuelan strongman and chafarrote, Hugo Chavez, having sensed blood in the water from the politically wounded Barack Obama, is pressing on with his advantage by requesting that the vacillating Barack Obama stop flip flopping on the issue and clarify his administration's position regarding the 'coup' in Honduras.

Barack Obama, attempting to maintain his trade mark political correctness, reminds me of the guy who loves to eat pig rinds but without killing the pig.

The so-called military coup d'etat in Honduras and the ensuing political crisis seems to have spilled over into what apparently has become a hemispheric tug-of-war pitting the traditional U.S. supremacy in the region, and the ALBA radical leftists, backed by the 50 year old Castro brothers Cuban dynasty and Venezuela's 800 pound gorilla, Hugo Chavez, who is rapidly morphing into a King Kong sized imperialist interventionist blatantly meddling in Central American internal affairs.

As events in Honduras widen, it becomes more and more obvious that Barack Obama was been unwittingly hoodwinked and has effectively placed himself between a rock and a hard place. President Obama now needs to find an urgent and viable political solution to the crisis before his Republican Party counterparts realize his predicament and use it against him in the upcoming 2012 presidential elections.

Once again, an interesting yet uncanny heightening of contradictions.
