Cardinal Maradiaga asks Zelaya to not Return to Honduras...
Honduran, Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga, today joined with the various sectors of Honduran society to demand that the international community respect the self determination or the Honduran people.
Cardinal Maradiaga warned that if deposed president, Manuel Zelaya, attempted to return to Honduras that a blood bath could very well be possible, and he called upon Zelaya to remain outside of the country. Maradiaga went on to say that as of today there has not been one single Honduran casualty, and that Zelaya should meditate his actions because afterwards it would be too late.
It is a known fact that professional agitators from neighboring ALBA dominated countries have already infiltrated Honduras, and a busload of Salvadoran FMLN sympathisers were returned from the border. It is also clear by his own blustering and bullying statements, that the Venezuelan 800 pound gorilla, Hugo Chavez, is behind the regional upheaval in Central America, and he has publicly stated that he would overthrow any Honduran government that replaces his Bolivarian ALBA puppet, Manuel Zelaya.
After his visit yesterday to Honduras, Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OEA), Jose Miguel Insulza, said that he would confer with deposed president, Zelaya, regarding his plans to return to Honduras, but Insulza avoided any reference to the possibility of him accompanying Zelaya.
Finally, and after the Insulza visit, Honduras announced their withdrawal from the OAS organization. At that time, Cardinal Maradiaga vehemently demanded that the international community, and particularly the Organization of American States, put more attention to the illegalities committed by the Manuel Zelaya government prior to June 28th. The Honduran people also ask, "Why haven't the threats of invasion by Hugo Chavez against Honduras been condemned by the world?"
Cardinal Maradiaga used the opportunity to reiterate to the international community that the Honduran people have the right to determine their own destiny.
